WIC gives you nutritious food or coupons to buy certain foods. WIC foods include items like:

  • Milk, juice and infant formula
  • Adult and infant cereal
  • Eggs and cheese

WIC also provides access to free health and nutrition services like:

  • Prenatal care
  • Immunizations for children under five
  • Nutrition advice
  • Parenting education

Apply for benefits at your local WIC office. Call in advance for specific instructions about what to bring to your appointment, including documents that show:

  • Your identification and the identification for each member of your household
  • Your street address
  • Your household’s income
  • If you receive any of these benefits:
    • SNAP (formerly known as food stamps)
    • Temporary Cash Assistance (TANF)
    • Medical Assistance (Medicaid or a children’s health insurance program)
